THE DEPARTMENT OF
SURGERY
The Department of
Surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center is a major provider of
tertiary and quaternary surgical care for the New York metropolitan
area. The department consists of nearly 110 surgeons representing
general surgery and all surgical subspecialties.
Full time and voluntary
faculty members hold faculty appointments at the most prestigious
medical schools in the metropolitan area, including The Albert
Einstein School of Medicine, The Weill-Cornell College of Medicine,
Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, The Mount Sinai School
of Medicine and New York University.
Beth Israel Medical
Center is over 100 years old with a long and proud history of
service, and academic and clinical achievement. Academic diversity,
